List of Medical Doctors Approved to Certify Medical Fitness of Seafarers
This notice supersedes previous notices on the list of Medical Doctors approved by the GMA to conduct Seafarer’s Medical examinations.
The Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) wishes to inform seafarers and the maritime community that pursuant to Regulation I/9 paragraph 2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for seafarers (STCW), 1978 as amended and Standard A1.2 paragraph 4 of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006(MLC, 2006), as amended, the following medical doctors are approved by the Authority to conduct seafarer medical examination.

All seafarers are advised to undertake the seafarer medical examination with the listed doctors to qualify for the issuance of a seafarer’s Medical Certificate by the Authority.
